At the beginning of the year I took a Baby Massage Instructor course with Gateway Workshops. During the course, among other things, we learnt the importance of touch, especially between a primary caregiver and an infant, the baby behavioural states and when/when not to massage a baby.

As with all courses with Gateway, it was interesting, fun and educational. We were each given a doll to practice on, shown the routine to use and had plenty of time to practice.

The training will be delivered in 5 hour long sessions for mother/father/grandparent and baby on a weekly basis.
